  2. Source: #S534 Data: Text: Andrew married in 1863 in Auchterderran. In the 1851 census, Andrew is listed as a nephew of Denniston Erksine Bell and Margaret Bell. I checked the complete census for more Andrews but there are none. His age is correct so I consider this andrew to be the right one. The IGI shows a Denniston Erskine Bell marrying a Margaret Arnot, 6 May 1809 in Abbotshall. This would mean that Andrew was Margaret's nephew. This shows that Margaret was William's sister. She was born in Auchterderran in 1789. I checked the death records to determine when she died. It was before 1855 as it is not recorded. I found the death record of a son of theirs in 1858 that indicates that she was deceased at that time. How close we came to determining the parents of William.
