Biography

Alma was born February 9, 1883 in Cleveland, OH^[1] and christened in 1883 in Cleveland, Ohio. She lived with her parents, Leopold and Annie Arnstein.^[2]

Alma was married to William E. Stone on June 28, 1905 in Cleveland, Ohio.^[3]

Their daughter, Elizabeth M. Stone, was born about 1908 when the family lived in Cleveland, OH.^[4] Their son, Robert S. Stone, was born about 1913. They also had another son, Paul Louis Stone, who was born about 1919. By 1930, Alma and William had moved to Cleveland Heights with their sons (Elizabeth had married in 1929 ^[5]) and their household included a servant.^[6] Robert was married in 1939^[7] and Paul was married in 1945.^[8]

After being widowed in 1937,^[9] Alma lived many more years until her death on February 29, 1968 in Cleveland, OH.^{[10] [11]}

Research Notes

No 1920 or 1940 census records have been found for Alma, William, or any of their three children.

• On December 19, 1939, their son Robert S. was married to Grace J. Wilt in Cleveland, OH. Grace was the daughter of George C. and Bessie Fisher.^[7]

• On July 22, 1945, their son Paul Louis was married to Shirley Jean Dexter in Los Angeles, CA. Shirley was the daughter of Myron Earl Dexter and Genevieve (Engleman) Dexter.^[8]
