Biography
Esten was born on November 18, 1878 in Støren, Sør-Trøndelag, Norway to Arnt Stephensen Moe and Marit Estensdotter. He was baptized on the 18th of November. [1]
In 1801, Esten is listed on the Norway Census along with his parents and sister, Marit, at Størens Prestegård in Støren. Esten was three years old at the time of this census. [2] In 1815 and 1825, the family is living at Præstegaarden in Støren.[3][4]
On June 1, 1826, Esten married Marit Pedersdatter Gylland in Støren. [5] Esten and Marit had five children: Arnt, Lars, Peder, Marit, and Peder.
Esten passed away on June 13, 1841 in Støren at the age of 42. He was buried a week later on June 20th. [6]
