Biography

Antoine Arseneau was born about 1800[1] in Caraquet, Colony of New Brunswick, son of Simon Arseneau and Marie Gertrude Melanson.

He married Marguerite Haché, daughter of Michel Haché and Marie Godin, on 23 November 1824 in Bathurst.[2]

Their children were:

  1. Marguerite Arseneau (~1822 - ~1872)
  2. Marie Arseneau (~1834 - ).

Antoine died in Bathurst. [citation needed]

Given that the marriage date is 1824, 1778 seems a more plausible birth year than 1810

Arseneau-183 and Arseneau-182 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse, same date of marriage. Date of birth is different: more research needed.
