Biography

Paul was born around 1737 in Acadie. He was the son of Jacques Arseneau and Marie Poirier.

He was listed at age 15 in the 1752 census at Malpec, Isle Saint-Jean with his widowed mother and his brother Alexandre.[1]

Marie Poirier, widow of Jacques Arcenaud, native of l'Acadie, aged 50 years. She has two sons:- Alexander, aged 20 years. Paul, aged 15 years. In live stock, they have four oxen, three cows, one heifer, one calf, three wethers, three pigs, and three hens. The land on which they are settled is situated up the Rivière du Ouest, and had been granted to the late Jacques Arcenaud by Messieurs Duchambon and Dubuisson. They have made a clearing on it where they have sown ten bushels of wheat, two bushels of peas, and one bushel of barley, and they have fallow land for the sowing of twenty bushels.

He married Anne Bernard around 1762.

Paul Arseneau and Anne Bernard were enumerated at Isles de la Madeleine in 1763 with 2 children. [2]. [3]

Paul may have died in Isle Saint Jean.[4]
