Biography
William, son of James and Mary Arter, was baptised at Whissonsett on 15 February 1835. [1] James Arther married Mary Craske, both of the parish of Whissonsett, at the parish church of Horningtoft on 14 October 1830.[2]
He married Mary Clarke in the Freebridge Lynn districe in the last quarter of 1858.[3]
Husband of Mary (born about 1838, Whissonsett, Norfolk, England). Father of Horace Arter , Rebecca Arter, Elizabeth Arter, William Arter, Robert Arter, Lilian Arter, Louisa Arter and Harriett Arter. Arthur was a groom, shepherd and then in 1901 a Pork Butcher.[4]
He passed away in 30 March 1908 in Docking. [5][6]He is buried in Church of St Mary the Virgin, Docking, Norfolk. His probate names James Arter (a signalman).[7]
