Valentin Bertsch, a widower, 22, son of Franz Bertsch and Anna Maria Hari, and Magdalena Arth, 20, daughter of Johannes Arth and Anna Maria Schweitzer, were married in the parish church of Selz on the 3rd of November 1836. Benedikt Zarenba officiated and Georg Arth and Andreas Reiss were witnesses of the union[2].
Mentioned in daughter's birth record: Michael Jakob, son of Michael Jakob and Magdalena Halter, and Eva Bertsch, daughter of Valentin Bertsch and Magdalena Arth, were married on 13th of May 1863 in the colony of Selz. [3]
