Mary Ann Arthy was born in about 1814 in Chelmsford, Essex, England to Joseph Arthy and Mary Ann.
Mary Ann Arthy, daughter of Joseph, an attorney's clerk, & Mary Ann, residing at Back Street, was christened on 3 Apr 1814 at St Mary in Chelmsford.[1]
She married Henry Herbert Marsden.
She passed away on 25 Nov 1836.
She is buried at St Mary the Virgin (now Chelmsford Cathedral) in Chelmsford, with her parents and two brothers: "Sacred to the memory of JOSEPH ARTHY who departed this life 5 April 1846 aged 55 and of three of their children WILLIAM ARTHY 1816 aged 8 months, MARY ANN wife of HENRY HERBERT MARSDEN who died 25 Nov 1836 aged 2[5 or 0] years, and CHARLES BRIDGE ARTHY who died Jany 1852 aged 26, and of their mother MARY ANN ARTHY who died 1856 aged 68 years."[2]
