Biography

Sarah Arter Stinson BIRTH 1780 Virginia, USA DEATH 1849 (aged 68–69) Wayne County, Kentucky, USA BURIAL Stinson Coil Cemetery Wayne County, Kentucky, USA

CORRECTION! Sarah (Arter) Stinson died in 1849 in Wayne Co., Kentucky. Her husband, George Stinson, was the widowed head of a household in Wayne Co., Kentucky in 1850:

1850 Wayne Co., KY Census; Division #1; Enumerator J.V. WARDEN; August 23rd; hh # 399 - 399: STINSON, George 74 farmer $150 VA; Sally 32 KY; ASBURY, Priscilla 27 KY; Henry 4 KY (This was between John C. STINSON and George STINSON, age 41.)

It is interesting to note that a Mary S. (Arter) Stinson #57449201 died in Whitley County, Kentucky a few years after Sarah. Since this Mary S. Arter also married a Stinson (Robert Stinson) in Grainger Co., Tennessee in the same year there may be a family connection.

Daughter of John Arthur Arter and Pricilla Arter

Alternate spelling Sarah Arthur

Sarah Arter married George Stinson Oct. 24, 1797 in Grainger Co.TN.
