Hello Emma,

The Australia Project leadership team are carrying out our annual check-in to see how you are going in the project. We'd really like to give you a huge thank you for all your work on Australian profiles over the past year! We've made great progress in 2020/21 with your assistance.

Please could you reply to this message, to let us know if you would like to stay on in the project and if you are happy with your current role and team involvement.

If you would like to do something additional or different, take a look on the Australia Project page to see what other opportunities there are.

It would also be great to get any feedback or suggestions that you have to improve the project.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Gillian, Co-leader, Australia Project

Hi Emma,

The Australia Project leadership team are carrying out a check-in to see how you are going in the project and especially to thank you for all your work on Australian profiles on WikiTree. We really value your participation.

Please could you get back to me by private message to let me know if you are happy with your current role and team involvement within the project or if you would like to do something additional or different. Currently you are on the Queensland, Free Settlers and Prussian Settlement teams. If you would like a change, you can check on the Australia Project page to see what other options there are.

It would also be great to hear any feedback and any suggestions that you have to improve the project. On a practical note, if you are a member of the google group, are you receiving messages ok? Also do you have Australia as one of the tags you are following on the G2G? Don't forget to add it in if you don't have that tag yet.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards

Margaret Haining Membership Coordinator

Hi Emma,

Welcome to the Prussian Settlement in Australia team! I am the team leader, and we have an awesome group of wikitreers who work hard at adding ship lists to wikitree and adding profiles for the people who were on board those ships.

What are you interests in this topic? I can help direct you to the pages and how you can help the teams work and mission.

Thanks for joining us.

Kind regards, Kylie

Hi Emma

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Since you mentioned UK you may be interested in our United Kingdom project! Here's the link: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:United_Kingdom

Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Again, thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles!

Dorothy, Volunteer Coordinator.

Welcome Emma,

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering and sharing.

Have fun and ask for help ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. You can also join in on the conversation about our question of the week: Going back in time: What burning question would you ask which ancestor

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

You may want to edit your TAGS to include more surnames and one surname per TAG as this will allow you to find others searching for the same surnames.

Happy Hunting,

Jess

Hello Emma,

Welcome to WikiTree. By now you should have received an email with helpful links to get you started on adding your family to ours.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.

Happy Hunting,

Jess
