Edmund, son of James & Mary (Tyrrel Watling), was born in 1789 and baptised on 11 September 1789 in Saxmundham, Suffolk, England.^{[1] [2]}

Edmund married Elizabeth Poole in 1810 in St James, Piccadilly, Middlesex, England.^[3] [mistranscribed as Edmund Turel Artie]
