Christine Martine was born on 5 January 1817 at Østsida, Porsgrunn.[1] She was the daughter of Christen Hansen Arveschoug and Anne Sophie Halvorsdatter.[1]
She was confirmed on 29 April 1832 in Porsgrunn.[2]
