Henry was born in 1855 in Manalpan, Monmouth, New Jersey.[1] He was the son of Alfred Asay and Phebe Dennis.
He was living with his parents and siblings in Manalpan, Monmouth county, New Jersey in 1860.[2]
He moved with his family to Iroquois county, Illinois. In 1880, he was living with his parents at Ridgeland, Iroquois, Illinois.[3]
Henry married Martha Flora Schonau on 20 Dec 1880 in Roberts in Ford county, Illinois. [4]They had four children.
Henry and his family moved to Buffalo county, Nebraska. In 1900, he was living in Elm Creek in that county.[5] By 1910, they were in the community of Odessa in Buffalo county.[6]
Martha passed away in 1910. He was living with son Ernest in Odessa, Buffalo, Nebraska in 1920.[7]
He passed away in 1925 and was buried in Kearney cemetery in Kearney, Buffalo, Nebraska.[8]
