John Asbury was born 12 Mar 1792, in Knob Mountain, Tazewell County, Virginia. His parents were William Asbury and Susanna Glascock. He married Mary "Polly" Ratliff on January 17, 1811, in his hometown. John Asbury passed away29 Sep 1858, in Poor Valley, Tazewell County, Virginia, at the age of 66.[1][2]
