Biography
Frederick Albert Ascough served as a steward on the British ship SS Adellen and is registered arriving as crew in New York aged 19 (Irish) in 1949, having been on the ship for 15 months. [1] He was still on the same ship a year later.
On Monday 17th December 2012, at Tauranga Public Hospital, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Margery for 61 years. Much loved Dad of Karel, Susan, Kenton, Hellen, Brent, and father-in-law of Graham and Natalie. Loved Granddad of all his grandchildren. A service for Paddy will be held at Woodhill, 167 Grange Rd Tauranga, on Friday 21st at 1:00pm, followed by private cremation.
