Louise M Aseltine, daughter of Peter Aseltine and Huldah (Wheeler) Aseltine was born 31 Mar 1844.
Louisa Aseltine first appears in the 1851 Census of Canada, age 8, daughter of Peter 50 and Hulda 43, appearing with siblings Henry 23, Martha 10, John 6, and "an infant son" 1.
In 1861 she appears in the Parish of St. Georges de Clarenceville, Missisquoi, Quebec as Louisa Aseltine, 17, spinster with her two brothers John 15 and Austin 8, both listed as Laborers at the top of page 228; two pages away on the bottom of page 230, there is a listing for the rest of the family - Peter 60, Huldah 52, Henry 32, and Martha 19.
Louisa Aseltine died on 1 Jan 1863, age 18-19. She is buried in South Beech - Hawley Cemetry Airds Que. [1]
