On Sunday, 25 Aug 1895, the Daily Illinois State Journal, page 9 reported: Marsh-Ash--Married, Friday, Aug 23, George A Marsh of Springfield and Rebecca V Ash of Williams Township. The ceremony was performed by Rev G. Snyder, pastor of the Third Presbyterian church. The groom is a laborer and the bride is the daughter of George W Ash.
