Biography

Clara B Ash was born November 8, 1898 and is the daughter of John Ash and Ivy Hoskinson.[1] Before Clara's father died in 1901, they lived in McClellan, West Virginia.[2] Her mother married John Lemic Williams in 1904. Their families moved together to Doddridge, West Virginia and Clara met her future husband then, since she married her step-brother. She grew up in West Virginia along with these three siblings; Una Glaide Ash, Harry W Williams and Lorain E Williams.[3][4]

Clara married Clyde Williams October 23, 1923 and made their home in Saint Marys, West Virginia[5] where he made his living as an oil well driller until his death June 10, 1964. Together they raised two children; Betty Jean Williams and Norma Lee Williams. Clara died March 11, 1981 and is buried in Lorentz Cemetery, Buckhannon, West Virginia.[6]
