Thomas ASH was born on 14 September 1822 and christened on 3 November 1822 in Swanbourne, Buckinghamshire, England. His parents were William ASH and Sarah FEASEY.
The barque, Dale Park set sail from London, England on 17 March 1844 (via Cork, Ireland, 30 March 1844) with the ASH family from Buckinghamshire among the assisted immigrant passengers and arrived at Port Phillip, Colony of New South Wales on 21 July 1844[1][2]. The family consisted of parents, William (age 45, Labourer) and Sarah (45, Read & write) and their children, Thomas (22, Labourer, Read & write), Caroline (19, Housemaid, Read), Charles (17, Read & write, Labourer), Adelaide (12), Eliza (7), Olivia (5) and Francis (3). On arrival Thomas went to work for Edward WILLIS (place unknown) for 12 months with rations.
Frances Sarah ROGERS and Thomas ASH were married on 6 September 1849 in Geelong, Colony of New South Wales (later known as Victoria)[3].
He passed away on 29 October 1885 in Echuca, Colony of Victoria[4] and were buried at the Echuca Cemetery[5].
