Biography

Sarah Ann Ashall was born in 1851. She was the daughter of James Ashall and Mary (Harrison) Ashall. Her birth was registered in the last quarter of 1851, in Prescot district.

Research Notes

She may have died in infancy since she hasn't been found in later records. There is a death registration for a one-year-old Sarah Ashall in the third quarter of 1853 in Prescot district, aged 1. There was a second birth registration of a Sarah Ashall in Prescot in the first quarter of 1852, mother's maiden name Shuttleworth. There was a daughter of George and Elizabeth Ashall who was still alive for the 1861 census.[1] It doesn't look like Elizabeth's maiden name was Shuttleworth, so there may have been three Sarahs about that age.
