Biography
Buckner Ashby was the son of Lewis Ashby (1746-1806) and Leannah Darnall (1749-1830). Buckner was born in 1790, Fauquier, Virginia, died 8 November 1862, Rockbridge, Virginia.
Buckner married 11 December 1830, Frederick, Virginia, Sophia G. Baker the daughter of James Baker and Nancy Campbell.[1]
Sophia passed away in 1838, and in 1850 son John was living with his father and brothers James 1832, and Buckner 1835.[2]
