Thomas Ashby, second son of John Ashby, Jr., and Constantia Broughton, was born in what later became St. Thomas Parish. In the parish records, his birthdate is given as 25 January (no year). Since his older brother, John, was born in March 1697/98, John was likely born January 1699/1700.[1]
Thomas married Elizabeth LeJeau on 16 August 1720 in Berkeley County, South Carolina at St. Thomas Parish and St. Denis Parish.[2]
Thomas and Elizabeth had at least three children based on the records of St. Thomas and St. Denis Parishes, South Carolina, Parish Register, 1680-1884.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:
Ashby-1885 and Ashby-422 appear to represent the same person because: Ashby-1885 is unsourced. Wife is same but slightly different spelling of her LNAB.
I believe there are two Thomas Ashby's mixed on this profile. Per South Carolina Magazine of Ancestral Research, Vol 10, # 3, Thomas Ashby and Elizabeth LeJeau were married in South Carolina on 16 Aug 1720. He was born in Charleston, SC in 1694, the son of John Ashby and Constantina Broughton, no indication of his death date or place. He was not married to Rose Berry, I am removing her from the profile.
