Biography

Perle was born in 11/8/1870 in Santa Rosa, CA. His Father was John Ashcraft and his mother was Rebecca Wallis (aka Wallace), both from Missouri. Perle was living with his mother (who was divorced) and his siblings in Santa Rosa in 1880. In 1910 he was still in Santa Rosa and was working as a hired man. By 1920 he was living in Cloverdale and working in a nursery. In 1930 he was living in Santa Rosa and working as a fruit grafter. In 1940 he was still living in Santa Rosa. He died 7/29/1947 and is buried in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Rural WHC 45)
