Biography
Her 1929 birth date is estimate from census records. In 1850 she had been married to Henry "within the year".[1] By 1860 they were in Illinois[2] where they appeared to stay through 1880.[3] Their children from the census records were Albert (1851), Latimore (1853), Samuel (1856), Dora (1858), Nellie (1861), and Nettie (1862).
She died after 1885 when she was living with Henry[4], and probably before 1900 when he was living with daughter Nellie.[5]

There was a Susan Ensminger, husband of a Henry Ensminger, who is sometimes identified as this Susan, but she died in Ohio in 1938 and her birth, death, and children's names do not match.
