Note N1872Charles Calvin Ashley passed away at 6:00am Monday, October.7th 1929. He died of pneumonia at the home of his daughter, Ruby. Charles Ashley was born at Frankfort, June 5, 1850. When he was a small boy he came to Winfield, NY to live. On June 16, 1872 he was married to Miss Mary Harrington of Pittsfield, NY. With the exception of short periods of time they have always made their home in this locality. They had12 children of whom nine are living. One daughter died in infancy, one son at the age of 13 and a daughter, Edna, Mrs. Lumen Chase at the age of 25.
