Wm's first wife emmaline Chenoweth died. She hadt wo children raised by her family. His second wife Mary Roby, was still alive in 1910 census at age 71 living in CO. His third wife was Rebecca Alice Schmitt (Smith), who died at age 91 in 1945. They had 3 children and Wm also had a son Spencer Ashley 4 yrs before he married Rebecca, allegedly from that union. Rebecca filied a bill (or writ) of desertion against Wm., who went ahead and married ...... Vance; they had no children. She died unattended by Wm. Wm ultimately was buried alongside Rebecca in Des M Woodland Cen, with photos of the headstones. I cd not find any papers of divorce or formal separation other than the separation from Rebecca from Mary Roby or .....Vance.
