Biography
Joseph Ashley was born on June 01, 1728 in Hampton, Connecticut. He was the son of Ens. Samuel Ashley and Elizabeth (Kingsbury) Ashley. He married Sarah (Cressey) Ashley (who passed away in 1758), Zerviah (Lyon) Ashley (who passed away on May 5, 1781), and Rachel (Allen) Ashley (who passed away on March 8, 1805). He was the father of Thomas Ashley, Chloe Ashley, Ebenezer Ashley, Susannah Ashley, Anna Ashley, Love (Ashley) Davison, Joseph Ashley, and Sarah (Ashley) Ingalls. He passed away in September 1787.
