Heber Ashley, Jr was born on 07 May 1918^[1][2][3][4] in Norwich, Windsor County, Vermont, United States. He was the son of Heber Ashley, Sr and Beatrice Corinne Lapierre/Lapine.^[5][6]

Heber married Betty M Dohn^[3][4] on 22 November 1940 in Casadaga, Chatauqua County, New York, United States.

Heber enlisted in the United States Armed Forces in 22 June 1942.^[7]

Heber Ashley, Jr. taught economics at Niagara University from 1946 to 1949. Was Grand Island postmaster from 1958 to 1970. Was owner and director of Dohn Funeral Home until his retirement. Was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite in NY.^[8]
