Biography

William Hugh was born in Bath County, Kentucky. He married first Elizabeth Bailey and had Robert Josiah Ashley, Andrew Jackson Ashley, Mary Ashley and James W Ashley. He married second Emily Gill and they had Luis D, John Hill, and Harrison Ashley. Between his marriage to Emily and the birth of her boys, they moved to Indiana. They then had their other children: Thomas Heart, Odelia, Jesse P, and Otta. He died about 1871 Boone County, Indiana and was buried in Lowrey Cemetery, Jamestown, Boone, Indiana.
