Stella Gertrude Ashley[1] was born November 26, 1907[1][2] in Reedy, Roane, West Virginia[1]. Note: her marriage[3] record states she was born in about 1906 in Clay, West Virginia.
On December 23, 1927 she married John Tawney Ross in Clay, West Virginia. [3] when she was 21 years old.[3]
Stella passed away at 2:05PM on the 9th of February 1999 in Marietta, Washington, Ohio.[4] Prior to that she lived in St. Mary's, Pleasants, West Virginia. [2][4]
She was preceded in death by her husband John T. Ross; her parents: Joe Orland Ashley and Virginia K. Grant; three of her five brothers: Robert Ashley, L. Dale Ashley, and Jess G. Ashley; and two of her four sisters: Myrtle Alice Ashley and Carrie B Benson. [2]
She is buried in Eventide Cemetery in Spencer, West Virginia[2]
