Biography
Charles Ashley was born on 11 August 1868 [1] in Lavington, Wiltshire, England, the son of George Thomas Ashley and Mary Ann Plank.[2] [3]
In the 1871 census Charles (age 2) was living in Easterton, Wiltshire, England. Relation to Head: Son.[4]
Charles was baptised on 22 December 1877 in Wiltshire, England.[1]
When Charles was about 32 he married Sarah Ann Axford in 1901 in Devizes, Wiltshire. The couple had 4 children: Florentine Tagus Ashley, Gertrude Ashley, George Ashley and Mabel Ellen Ashley.[5]
In the 1911 census Charles (age 42) was living in Market Lavington, Wiltshire, England. Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head: Head.[3]
