In 1940, Johnson and Mary were living in Fairmont, Robeson, North Carolina, United States with their son and a maid.[6]
In 1950, Johnson and Mary were living in Fairmont, Robeson, North Carolina, United States with their son and daughter.[7]
Their daughter, Rebecca Ellen Ashley, married John Mark Rothrock on 15 Jun 1963 in Catawba, North Carolina, United States.[8]
He died on 27 August 1971, in Alexander, North Carolina, United States, at the age of 58,[9] and was buried in Hickory, Catawba, North Carolina, United States.[10]
