Dorothy Marjorie Minnie was born about 1905. She is the daughter of Gerald Ashman and Annie Sedge.

Little in known about her; she is mentioned in her mother's Death Notice as having married a Norman Clappé.^[1]

Dorothy is found again with the baptism in 1934 of her and Norman's children in Yeoville, Johannesburg:^[2]
