Biography

Louisa is the daughter of Thomas Ashmore and Elizabeth Rhoten. She is mentioned as a minor child in her father's will on Ancestry Will Records, 1809-1920; Index, 1809-1968; Probate Place: Highland, Ohio[1]

She married her husband Bernard Fitzpatrick in 1839 in Highland, Ohio.[2]

She and her husband Barney have 3 children on the 1850 Federal Census, Mary, Elizabeth and Thomas.[3]

They have moved to Illinois by 1860 and have 6 children with them on the 1860 Federal Census, Mary, Elizabeth, Thomas, William, Sarah E, and Rebecca J 5. All the children were born in Ohio.[4]

The only child left at home on the 1870 Federal Census is Jane who is now 15.[5]

Elizabeth died before the 1880 Federal Census, her husband Barney is listed as widowed and living with son Thomas in Missouri.[6]
