WILLIAMS- ASHMORE - January 25, at St Matthews', Manly by Rev A Ebbs, Ernest, son of Mr and Mrs G Williams, of Burwood, to Betty, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Ashmore, of Manly, late of Durham, England.
Sunday Times (Sydney, NSW) Sunday 5 April 1925
WILLIAMS - ASHMORE. St. Matthew's, Manly, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on January 24, when Miss Betty Ashmore, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ashmore, of Altona Flats, Manly, was married to Mr. Ernest Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Williams, of Seaforth, Burwood. The Rev. A. Ebb officiated. The bride wore a beautifully draped gown of brocaded satin, hand-embroidered with silver, with a shirred georgette and brocade train falling from the shoulders. Her tulle veil, which was loaned by her sister, Mrs. Harland, was hand-embroidered, and fell in long, graceful folds from a coronet of orange blossoms and silver. She carried a sheaf of pink tiger lilies tied with blue and silver shot metallic ribbon.
