Joseph Ashton was born about 1739 and he married Catherine Smith on the 4th of January, 1768 in Saint Mary Parish Church Eastham, Cheshire.[1]
They had seven known children.
Joseph died on the 16th of February, 1823 in Eastham, Cheshire and was buried with his wife on the 18th of February, 1823 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham, Cheshire. [2]

Ann Ashton died July 1, 1804 aged 27 years
Also Catherine wife of Joseph Ashton who died September 21, 1819 aged 82 years
Also the above named Joseph Ashton who died February 16, 1820 aged 64 years
