George Ashway was born in Pennsylvania about 1797. His birth date, calculated from his age at death, was 7 Feb 1797.

George Ashway died on 15 SEP 1853 at Mt. Carroll, Carroll Co., Illinois. Tombstone Inscriptions shows that he is buried at the Jacobstown Cemetery in Mt.
