Biography

Charles was born in December, 1898[1]. He was the son of Thomas Ashwell and Anne Maria Lee.

In 1918, he married Ida Cudd.[2] They had, at least, two children together but later divorced.

In 1934 his third child was born, another son[3], to Norma Galloway.

In 1942, he married Violet Calder.[4] They had two children.

After only two years of marriage to Violet, on Monday, 10 July, he passed away at 45 years old.[5]

Two days later he was buried in Bluff's Old Cemetery (a.k.a Campbelltown Cemetery).[6]. He was laid to rest with his parents and three infant siblings in a family plot.
