AUSTEN. — Ada, wife of A. J. Austen, of Ramornie, on December 25, aged 59.

The death occurred suddenly at Ramoinie on Christmas Day of Mrs. Ada Austen, Avife of Mr. A. J. Austen, of Ramprnie, aged 59 years. Mrs. Austen appeared to be enjoying her usual good health in the early part of the day. During the afternoon, however, when members of the family and friends Avere. enjoying a basket picnic in the open Mrs. Austen was suddenly taken ill and died half an hour later from heart failure. She is survived by -her husband, four daughters, Mrs. P; C. Sanders (Grafton), Mrs. H. Austen (Orara), and Misses Hilda and. Susie (Ramornie) and two sons, -George and 'Harold (Lismore). Mrs. G. Caldwell, of Alice Street, Grafton, Mrs. Dougherty, of South Grafton are sisters, while Messrs E. Ashwood (Ramornie) and A. Ashwood (Grafton) are -brothers. The other brothers reside at Ballina and Sydney respectively. Deceased Avas a native of Asbby, near Maclean, and had resided on the Clarence practically 'all her life. The -remains were buried in Ramoinie cemetery on Saturday. Rev. Bates, of the Copmanhurst Church of England, officiating.
