Emma was born in 1880. She was the daughter of Cornelius Askew and Emma Hicks. She passed away in 1934.

Emma Irene Askew was born on May 10, 1880, in Northampton, North Carolina, her father, Cornelius, was 28, and her mother, Emma, was 24. She married Simon Herbert Martin on July 28, 1901, in Kirby, North Carolina. She then married Charles Edward Vann and they had five children together. She died on June 13, 1934, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, at the age of 54, and was buried in her hometown. Family Relationships You
