Robert Edward Lee BOB Askins was born on 29 September 1870, in Lincoln, Lincoln, Tennessee, United States, his father, John Scott Askins, was 30 and his mother, Margaret Ann Hairston, was 26. He married Martha Jane Spray on 31 October 1893, in Lincoln, Tennessee, United States. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Hazel Green, Madison, Alabama, United States for about 10 years and Election Precinct 12 Hazel Green, Madison, Alabama, United States in 1940. He died on 11 August 1950, at the age of 79, and was buried in Charity Cemetery, Madison, Alabama, United States.
