Clara (Aspin) Hancock was born in Kent, England.

Clara Aspin was born in 1855. She was the daughter of George Aspin and Mary Ann Tiptaft. [1]

In 1861, Clara was the youngest of six children in her father's house. Clara's mother had already passed away. The family were living in New Town Lane, Ashford, Kent. Clara's father was a coach maker. [2]

In 1871, Clara was seen with her father and step-mother, Mary. They were living in Willesborough, Kent. Clara was 16-years-old. [3]

In 1878, Clara married Oliver Hancock. The marriage was registered in Ashford. [4] Oliver was almost 20-years-older than Clara and had previously been married.

In 1891, Clara and Oliver were living in Brabourne, Kent. In the household were four children. The youngest, Oswald, 3, was almost certainly Clara's son. [5]

In 1901, Clara and Oliver were residing in the same town with three children. There was also a nephew, Ernest Sampson, in the household. [6]

In 1911, Clara and Oliver were residing in Folkestone, Kent. Clara was 55-years-old. There was also a boarder staying with them: Julia Ellen Rodgers. [7]

Clara passed away in 1931. Her death was registered in Elham. She was 75-years-old. [8] Clara was buried in Cheriton Road Cemetery, Folkeston, Kent. [9]
