Daniel Aspinall was born in Lancashire, England.

Daniel was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, in 1823. His parents were Joseph Aspinall, a shipwright, and gardener, and Hannah Mason. Daniel was baptized on November 15, 1824, in Liverpool, at Holy Trinity Church. (There is also a memo on the bottom of the church register that indicates a ceremony (Christening) was also held at Holy Trinity on May 2, 1824).

Daniel appears to have resided with his parents, and siblings, in Liverpool, until his marriage in 1844. He was married to Eliza Davison on July 2, 1844, in Liverpool, at Saint Nicholas Church. Daniel and Eliza would have eight children, all born in Liverpool, between 1844, and 1860. Daniel passed away, in Liverpool, in May of 1861. He was thirty eight years old. He was buried on May 22, 1861, at Toxteth Park Cemetery, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.
