Benjamin and Sarah resided in Brookline where they had a large estate on what is now Heath Street. The family owned a second farm on Newton Street that was occupied by son Thomas.[5]

In his will written 5 November 1776 (probate 5 December 1777), Benjamin White bequeaths to dearly beloved wife Sarah the household furniture to be at her disposal forever. She is to have use of the lower room and chamber, firewood and horse supplied for her, and the improvement and income of one-third part of the real estate during her natural life. Sons Thomas and Benjamin receive the wearing apparel, bonds, notes, and money. They are to pay daughter Jerusha three hundred pounds who also receives use of the room used by her mother after her mother’s decease. Granddaughter Ann White receives £6.13.4 annually during her minority in order to give her a suitable education and £133.6.8 when she arrives at age. Daughter Eleanor Craft receives five acres of the lot known as Boylston lot. Son Thomas receives the use and improvement of the farm he lives on during the life of his mother. Thomas and Benjamin are named executors. Real estate was £12,146 consisting of the homestead with mansion house, the farm occupied by Thomas White and 12 acres of marsh. Personal estate was £2,129.12.[6]
