Anne (Assheton) Trafford was born in Middleton, Lancashire, England.

Anne Assheton was the daughter of Sir Ralph Assheton, 2nd Bt. and Mary Vavasour. ^[1]

She married Humphrey Trafford, son of Humphrey Trafford and Katherine Warburton, on 15 August 1701.2

They had at least nine children

She was the ancestress of the Baronets Vavasour [1801].1 From 15 August 1701, her married name became Trafford.1 On 3 May 1716 she inherited the Vavasour estate of Spaldington. She died in 1729 in Manchester. ^[2]
