Mary was born in about 1786. She married Samuel Parry in Aldford on 20 April 1807[1] In 1841, Mary was living in Aldford.[2] In 1851, she was living in Buerton.[3] Mary died in Buerton in 1853 and was buried in Aldford on 19th June 1853.[4]
Although Mary was described as being born in Aldford on the 1851 Census, no baptism for a Mary Astle around the right time was recorded. The marriage record in 1807 for Mary and Samuel does not contain further information beyond their names and the date of marriage, such as whether she was in fact a widow, and her birth name may not have been Astle at all. However, a Mary Astle was baptised in Farndon (very close to Aldford) on 20th November 1785; she was born in Tatnall (probably Tattenhall)
