Biography

Maria was born around the turn of the year 1779-80. She was christened on 26th January 1780 in St Michael's Ashton under Lyne. She was the daughter of F J Astley of Duckenfield Lodge, Cheshire.^[1][2][3]

She married George Younghusband and they had at least one child.^[1]

In 1841, she is in St Brelade, Jersey with her daughter, Georgiana, and 2 more Younghusband's - no relationship on 1841 census.^[4]

She is in St Helier for the 1851 census, with her daughters, Georgina & Julia with her.^[5]

And the situation is much the same in 1861.^[6]
