Biography

Nathan was born in 1816. He was the son of Nathan Atchison and Kesiah Kendall. He passed away in 1884.

Nathan Atchison died of cancer of the liver last Sunday morning. Mr. Atchison was born in Bath County, Kentucky, in the year 1816, and when ten years of age moved with his parents to this place, and has resided in the vicinity ever since. He at one time owned a large farm near Stilesville, Indiana which has since become very valuable. After retiring from farming he ran a saw mill for several years. For the past twelve years he has been engaged in the harness business. He was a generous, kind - hearted gentleman, who leaves a large circle of friends. His funeral took place from the family residence in South Greencastle, Monday afternoon.
