Biography
Emily was born in Cumberland, Rhode Island on 18 April 1890. She was the second child born to John Atcherson [sic], a teamster, age 23, and Rose Wisher, age 19, who was born in New York.[1]
Emily died on 9 March 1983 at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.[2]
Obituary: Emily L. Beland, 92, formerly of 30 Harrison St., died Wednesday [9 March 1983] in Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Felix Beland. Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Wisher) Atchison. Mrs. Beland lived in the Blackstone Valley all her life. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mildred LaMountain, a brother, Edward Atchison, and a sister, Mrs. Florence McIntyre, all of Pawtucket; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Monday [14 March 1983] at 8 a.m. from the Prata Home, 372 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Mary's Church, Pine Street. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery.[3]
