Henry was born on 15 May 1801 in Pennsylvania. He is the son of William Aten and Elizabeth Thomas. His wife was Elizabeth Springer. He is buried at the German Lutheran Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Montour, Pennsylvania.[1]
